Display Setting Change Sequence
How it works
The Light Sensor in the Outside Air Temperature Display is capable of changing the setting of the display. The OAT Display is capable of displaying Fahrenheit or Celsius. It can also be turned Off. By following the sequence listed below, you can change the setting without disassembling the mirror.
- To start the Display Setting Change Sequence, the mirror must be in a daylight condition.
An artificial light source (flashlight) may be used to simulate daylight shining on the display area.
Constantly shine the light directly at the display during this sequence.
Start the vehicle to turn the OAT Display on.
This Change Sequence must be completed during the first two minutes of power up of the mirror.
- Start by covering the display area with an opaque object for four seconds (Minimum).
Uncover the area allowing it to be in the daylight condition for four seconds (Minimum).
Repeat the cover and uncover sequence three times.
- After the third cover and uncover sequence, the display setting will change.
The following is the order of settings for the display.
"F" (Fahrenheit)
"C" (Celsius)
Off
Each cover and uncover sequence after the third will toggle the display between these settings.

OR
Remove the Flat Glass Assembly from the Mirror Head.
On the back of the Flat Glass Assembly there is a small, recessed gray button.
Press this button to change the setting.
Each press of the button will toggle the setting.
This procedure can be done at any time during the operation of the OAT Display.
